I’m so glad you stopped by to read some of the fun stuff we have put together, here, at Craft Pixie. If you're looking for some useful crochet tutorials, interesting information, crafting inspiration or just some quirky and fun crochet patterns - this is the place for you!
Who am I and what is Craft Pixie?
I'm a middle-aged ex Data Analyst with two grown up children, a supportive husband and cats. I’m also an Essex girl and proud of it! I started Craft Pixie a while ago as an outlet for my pattern creations and as an antidote to my stressful job. A few years later and changing family circumstances found me at home with all the time in the world to craft. I bumbled around, produced some stuff, but didn’t really have any particular plan or direction. I have recently decided to take my crocheting and crafting knowledge seriously and to share it with other like-minded creative crocheters.
Apart from showcasing the crochet and sewing patterns and digital downloads, you can also access tutorials, tools and features. The features page will contain helpful tips, tricks and colour palettes for inspiration. The features are intended to be bite-sized, fun and interesting. These will all be added to over time, so keep checking back.
The PROJECTS page (we like to refer to as the PROJECTS gallery) contains some ideas for projects made with Craft Pixie MOTIFS. These patterns are a specific collection of designs that fit together to help the crocheter make their own projects. The Craft Pixie ethos is to have fun with crochet and to embrace the feeling of wellbeing crochet can give the maker. I hope my website will contribute to this. However, this is a work in progress and feedback is essential to make this webiste as relevant to you as it can be. So feel free to get involved. Craft Pixie reflects my eclectic and quirky designs, crochet explorations and other crafting stuff I have found useful over the years. I believe I have a unique take on crochet, as my analytical brain means I like to find elegant solutions to knotty crochet problems. I also like to share my knowledge with others. It's a mission!
