Confused as to whether your pattern is in UK or US notation?

Have you picked up a pattern only to discover it’s written in UK terminology rather than US notation and now your stitches are too long? Annoying, isn’t it. If you can’t find something telling you what notation has been used, look for the term “single crochet”. If this is somewhere in the pattern, it’s probably US notation.
