In this vein, I made my husband buy a bag full of fruit and I arranged them in a modern bowl I'd found at the back of a cupboard. I stood back and admired my table. Although quite a small bowl ... and quite small fruit .... it definitely gave the impression we were a healthy eating household.
Roll on a few days and my display had started to look distinctly unhealthy. Those room sets did not suffer from being South-facing with a roof lantern that let the sun beat down on the fruit all day. My bowl now contained dull and wrinkly items! Hurumph!
Then I hit on an idea. CROCHETED FRUIT! Not only would this fruit be free from sun damage, I'd be able to wash it!
So far I have created a pear and an orange. Next will be an apple, a banana and hopefully some grapes.
Watch this space for more fruit. I'll put some instructions in a blog when I have my fruit bowl sorted out.
